Community, Rights & Gender Technical Assistance (CRG TA) Program

As part of the funding agreement with grants signed in 2016, some countries are required by the Global Fund to submit a transition plan through a consultative process. In order to ensure adequate support is provided to civil society, including key and vulnerable populations and networks in transition-related discussions, the Strategy Committee approved 160 000 EUR for transition-related Technical Assistance (TA) in Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia (CEECA) within the Community, Rights and Gender Special Initiative Technical Assistance Program.

The purpose of this CRG technical assistance assignment is to ensure that civil society, including key and vulnerable populations and networks are meaningfully engaged in transition-related processes in a handful of relevant countries in the CEECA region.

CRG TA Provider, Eurasian Harm Reduction Network (EHRN) will be taking the lead on this multi-country assignment, given their experience working on sustainability and transition issues from a harm reduction perspective.

Priority areas of Technical Assistance:

I. Ensure meaningful engagement of key and vulnerable populations in transition preparedness assessments.

II. Ensure meaningful engagement of key and vulnerable populations in the development of a transition plan.

III. Ensure meaningful engagement of key and vulnerable populations in the implementation and monitoring of a transition plan.
