Daria Ocheret is with EHRN since 2003, when she joined the Secretariat as Information Manager. Since then, she conducted a number of trainings on advocacy and community mobilization, contributed to the development of EHRN publications, and was involved as drug policy coordinator in the framework of EHRN’s Drug Policy Advocacy project. Over 2009-2011, she was elected as the chairperson of the EHRN Steering Committee. Daria’s 12 years of experience in harm reduction includes experience in leading NGOs in Moscow both in fieldwork with drug users and cooperation with governmental institutions, as well as policy work and non-governmental organizations management.
Responsibilities: Daria ensures Policy Reform Team’s content development and provides informational and analytical support. She manages work on policy analysis and recommendations, including development of concepts, research, policy briefs, publications, speeches, and talking points. She also manages relations with expert community and partners, develops funding proposals to ensure sustainability of programmatic activities, and represents EHRN at international and regional events.
